Terry McTaggart here.  Thanks for the input.  A new boot is coming (via 
overnight delivery) from Andy Bernbaum.  The tranny shop wanted to take apart the 
front u-joint in order to put the new boot, but I have convinced them that with 
patience and grease, the new boot can be slipped over the joint.  Thanks 
again for all your suggestions!
