[Chrysler300] A new twist to towing :-)

Now that we have expended the discussion about trailers / towing and so many 
members have contribute their knowledge to the topic I thought I'll ask a new 
question.

Has anyone towed their own trailer with a rental truck (Avis, Hertz) ?
Is it legal, will the rental co. let you do it, and what are the Insurance 
complications?
And who has to know what?
