Ed,
basically, there is no problem - just ship it. Except that the US customs
probably would not allow a non-titled car being exported, you should check
that first. Secondly, norwegian DMV only accept an original title as proof
of origin - could again be trouble for your customer to be.
Shipping should be anywhere between $1400 and $4000, depending on the
shipping company and east or west coast port. Less if sharing a container
with other cars or as RoRo. Norwegians pay approx $400 in import duty, and
then 24% VAT on everything including freight and import duty.
Last year I bought a non-titled car in the USA (52 Saratoga Coupe, a Letter
predesessor?) and had the vendor going through all sorts of trouble in order
to obtain a new title before the car was shipped. This year I bought a parts
car from Canada without title, no problems with the CAN customs - and best
of all: As it is for parts I never need to bring the car to the norwegian
DMV.

 Hi,
I have had a serious inquiry on my 1967 300 convert. from a resident of
Norway!!  I know we have several oversea's members - are any of you from
Norway or - can tell me about what is required to get permission to ship a
car??  Is there an import duty?  A sales tax?  My car is in Mass., and does
not have a title, but is registered in Mass..  Should I do anything to
prepare for a sale?

This may come to nothing, but the man is surely interested, and plans to
pursue this on his own also,  Any help will be welcome.
