Thank you Eleanor, for the tranny numbers. So far, we haven't found the source of the problem. I keep thinking of the hand brake and the fair amount of play with the output shaft. I just recently adjusted the brake because the handle was hitting the turn signal lever. If either brake shoe would rub, it might set off these rhythmic spasm in the drive train. Anyway I'll  keep on looking.  John Peabody
