[Chrysler300] Wet sanding - Paint Touch-Up Question

Wet sanding a small fix was much easier than I thought. It always sounded
so scary -- the thought of taking sandpaper to a shiny paintjob... But it
really helps touch-up. Once I found the 2,000-grit sandpaper, courage - and
- a neighbor with a buffer, it was pretty easy to do a decent patch. I'm
now wet-sanding to remove overspray from a horrible dent repair job someone
did on an original paintjob. The dupli-color is coming-off nicely, but now
there's filler..
**Is it possible to remove Bondo from a painted dent?? Are there chemicals
that will attack the bondo but not the paint underneath?
The guy did not grind or drill. He simply applied bondo to a fender dent -
leaving the paint underneath. I'd like to remove the bondo and get the Dent
Doctor to smooth it. Possible? Many thanks.

A good wax remover should prepare the area well enough. Try using a soft
bristle toothbrush to clean out the chips. I would recommend using an
airbrush to fill the chip layer by layer then once its cured, wet sand the
surface flush and polish it back up. The same can be done after brushing on
some paint but the results would be better with an airbrush. You can buy
inexpensive airbrushes that will do the job well enough for only a few
dollars or buy a good quality setup that you can fine-tune and use for all
sorts of things.
