The number is correct. The "M5" is the date code. "M" is for December and
the 5 is for 1965. That is the way Carter IDed their carbs. This would be
known as a service carb.

 I have a shop that rebuilds and restores automotive carbs. I am reetired
and do this for something to do besides bother my wife. LOL I have a web
