Thank you to everyone who responded to my freeze plug dilemma. I got away from the Mothers Day festivities for a few moments today to work on cutting away the exhaust gasket to expose the most recent leaker (left rear). While working on it, I noticed that the front side plug on the left head was just starting to weep (The paint on the block was slightly bulged, when I popped the bulge, I found green liquid. I see no alternative now other that to remove the exhaust manifolds and replace all four plugs (2 on each head). So much for the very nicely detailed engine. Fortunately, the fender well cutouts allow for semi decent access. Well, the 300 meet will be missed, Chrysler Classic is doubtful as is Power Tour (I need major debug time before that trip!), perhaps Good Guys in Columbus? On the plus side, my interior guy has resurfaced and said that he would have the seats and door panels completed this weekend. Thanks again for all of the advice. I did this for my father, who I am more or less building the car for. It promptly popped another freeze plug. This one from the left side cylinder head. So, no I have have lost a plug from the right side and now the left side head. Are these plugs (In the side of the heads) supposed to be 1 3/8" 9this is what was put in by the speed shop? I didn't receive any answers last week when I asked.
