Getting a pair of those small compact lock into place suction cups would help a lot. Might suggest while you have stainless moldings off that you do a good polishing job on them with a buffer. Would hate to have to see you take them off and put them back on someday when you decide that your stainless on the car all needs polishing. The back window stainless on my B was the hardest pieces to remove and replace(many fastener nuts in the trunk, do not know how a D is" and getting the clips all back on in the proper places when reinstalling is no joy. Only thing else I might do is to take it to a professional unless you have done this before. Many of these guys come to your home to do glass replacement. This is necessary to clean up the fence for paint. I would appreciate hearing pearls of wisdom from those who have done this. It scares me to have to do it.
