[Chrysler300] re: old tire sizes

Dear All,

This subject may have been covered before, but I'm trying to determine what size bias ply tires to look for for my "B".

I'm running wide radials now on 9 1/2 inch black wheels and hubcaps, but have a set of motor wheel wires that I would like to put on some wide whites for occasional use.

The question is how does the old number system work? 850-15,9.20-15 etc.
> I looked at a few sizes on the coker site, but hows it relate? I know a 7.10 is larger then a 6.70, but then theres 8.20,8.55,8.60,9.00,9.20's and there all within a half
inch in height of each other. Some of the "smaller sizes" are taller???Is there anything that relates to the width?

What should I be looking for and whats the maxinum size tire that will fit on a 6 inch wheel.

Thanks
