SV: [Chrysler300] C300 Gold

A quick and easy fix for a C-300 might be to check the M-Bz Byzante Gold
Metallic paint from the 70s/80s. While at the paint shop, it was a very
close match for my C-300 valve covers which I assume never have been
repainted (still aren't). Maybe I'll have them done for the 50-years of
Letter Series jubilee?

Hi all,
You can get the exact correct gold color for ALL the 300 valve covers and
air cleaners using Dupont Chroma-one single stage paint .
The base is  YM047GM   to which has the tints added  as follows;
PER PINT:

 TINT#         Amount
890J           120
811J          150.7
807J          161.7
818J          170.2
891J          186.5
832J          187.5
740G          445
750G          480.5

The paint guys know what those amounts correspond to in either weight or
volume.
A good paint shop will also be able to put it in aerosol cans for you if you
don't have spray equipment that's acceptable.

Base coat / clear coat could also be used but would probably double the
cost.

Sorry to say , paint isn't cheap and the above is significantly more than a
few spray cans. But if you want the right color and looks factory NOS, the
above will do it.
