Hi Everyone in Chryslerland: There is a small capacitor (about an inch long) which connects to the + terminal of the coil and is connected to the block. (1) Does it serve any purpose; and (2) If it is needed / required for proper performance, where might I obtain one? Thanks everyone! Happy Chryslering, Tom Miami, Florida [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 2 Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 16:44:56 -0800 From: Mike Apfelbeck <moparmike@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Coil capacitor for 1959 300E! Tom, It's there to keep the static out your am radio. You could probably use an ignition points type condenser to work in its place. (i know about the clutch from the club book, they have that number.) so what i am asking is for help again, please. if someone has these parts, can you please let me know asap, as my car should be done in a couple weeks, and teh bumper has to be re-chromed, and grill cleaned and stuff. the body shop will cut you a check, not me, ins paid them. PLEASE help. for the fan i think it was a six blade. no a/c. THANK YOU all for the help before, one more time please, thanks, tim [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 4 Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 19:51:25 -0800 From: "Roger Schaaf" <obiwan10@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Fw: Question for seller -- Item #3588078103 I could not resist educating this confused Ebay seller. The listing has been changed. Was described as a cross ram, factory floor shift, 331 cubic inch. She sent me an email in response to mine to her. We are now friends. I believe that she is now a 300 convert.
