They were originally sealed beams which I still have in my L. I was
considering switching to halogen but have not done so due to concern that
the higher heat they produce could cause the glass headlight covers to
crack. Have you had any such problems?

Subject: Wheel question
Since I haven't had any decent offers for my C300 I may very well keep it
until the value goes up to around $500,000. :o) However, I do need to
replace the wire wheels so I would like to know if any of you are aware
whether or not anyone makes a decent copy of the original wires that
won't require tubes for my radial WWWs. Also, back when my schedule
was totally weird, I had mentioned that my master power window control
needed rebuilding and I had heard from a couple of people who said they
could help me redo it. Unfortunately the computer on which I had that
information went down the tubes several months ago so I can't access
that info. I'm also selling my house and will be moving to Florida as
soon
as it's sold so I need to get that done ASAP and since I gave up my
full-time
job to redo this house I don't have a set schedule and can probably head
over at any time to have that done. That's basically it. I'd appreciate
any
info anyone can give me.

is there any OTHER way to mate an early RB Wedge motor ('59, '60 or '61)

a later ('62 and younger) transmission, ?
Same question the other way around, as well - is there any way to mate a
LATER "B" or "RB" Wedge motor to a cast-iron torqueflite, without having
to
restort to changing crankshafts ?

www.powerplayhemi.com has adapters to fit a small block 727 to an early
Hemi. I don't know of anyone doing early RB to 727.

Has anyone used one of the synthetic gear lubes like the one from MOBIL 1
in the rear end of their Chrysler? Also, does anyone have any experience

In the event that I can't find a decent set of replacement wire wheels for
my C300,
does anyone know where I can get a set of regular C300 wheels and wheel
covers?
Also, a few years ago someone pointed out a dealer in Chicago that sold
Coker tires
but I don't remember the name of that dealer. I'd like to find the place
because I
believe that dealer also carries decent wire wheels.

Just wanted to let all the members know that My story about "My First
Mopar " was picked to run in a Magazine that John Hertog told us about
6 months ago on the Listserver. I just received a e-mail and they
are going to send me a copy. Now the whole world can see what I looked
like at age 17 with my Red, White and Black 1956 Dodge.
My High School friends called it the Circus Wagon because of the three
colors, and the Dual Antenna's on the rear fenders.

Jerry, There is a company out here in CA. called Stockton Wheels. They
not only carry old wheels but they will make you any wheel you want. I
didn't respond to your first e-mail. I thought for sure somebody in the
club would have a set of wheels for you. I heard the owner on the radio
talk show several months ago. Hey was telling how years ago Mopar
wheels were a dime a dozen, and now he can barely find them. He warned
all the collectors who have old steel wheels just laying out rusting

Last weekend I went to the 16th annual Florida Mopar Association show.
Lots
of Cudas, Charges, RT's, trucks. You name it and it was there. About 400
Mopars on Sat and about 350 on Sun. I had the only letter car there but
there
were Newports, New Yorkers and even a 70 300. On Sat Don Garlitts fell in
love
with my car and he interviewed me for an episode on ESPN in Jan.
On Sat I beat out the Cudas and Chargers and took "Best of Show." Not too
bad for a white car. And on Sun I took 1st place in the C body category.
All
in all it was a great show even if it did rain.
