Subject: '55 Ballast Resistor
Where is the ballast resistor on a '55 300? I'm still trying to get my
'55 started. I do get a light when I hook a 6V test light from the coil
negative to ground, so I doubt the problem is the ballast resistor.
I took the starter off today and I'm taking it to get it tested. When I
hooked it to the battery with jumper cables while off the car, the
solenoid would kick the gear into position, but the starter wouldn't
spin. Wonder if it's burned up inside?
Thomas

Subject: Parts needed
Hi all,
Anyone with info on what is the status of the club sponsored project to
produce sheet metal repair parts for rocker/quarter panels for the 57-59
models? Are they finished and for sell? Any fixed price for the
clubmembers?
Next is about parts missing. Anyone out there that might have been
sitting
on a pair of original carburettors or even together with a complete
mainfold
with linkage for a 300:C for the last couple of 20 years or so? I hope
someone can stand loosing them because they would do a whole lot of more
good on my car while missing. THe correct type should read Carter WCFB
2534S and WCFB 2535S. Pls have a look amongst old dusty "good to have
things" and see if you are able to help out.

Subject: help on 300f back-up light problem
Hi Group,
The back-up lights do not work on my 1960 300F. I have been told the
problem is most likely the switch.
I have also been told the switch is located behind the reverse push button
in the dash. There is no switch there and it looks like there never was.
Has any one thoughts as to where the switch is located or any other
suggestions for the back-up light problem
?????
Thanks for your input.
Wayne Wunderlich

I am considering ordering new carpet and headliner for my 300L from
Legendary Interiors. Has anyone purchased these products from them and
were they satisfactory?
