I would recommend you try Vic Phillips of Classic Glass

classicglass@xxxxxxxx

I purchased a NOS original convert windshield from him several years ago and
for other cars since.  His prices are excellent and he works hard to find or
deliver what you want.

Anyone have an idea of a good supplier for this?  If you don't have a good
supplier how about one to stay away from?

I just received a message informing me of a new VIRUS by the name of
sulfnbk.exe  which is automatically transmitted through address books and
cannot be detected, neither by McAfee, nor by Norton, nor likely by PC
Cillin.

It appears as a small, ugly black icon, or as a small Microsoft icon. Its
size is 44k. This virus apparently remains inactive for 14 days, after which
it destroys your hard drive.

I immediately checked my computer and unfortunately found the virus as
described. Needless to say that I eliminated it, but since you might be
infected by it, I strongly suggest you follow the procedure.

Since your address appears in my address book, you probably will have
received it. The procedure to eliminate it is the following :

1- Click on " Start "
2- Open " Find " and click on " Files / Documents "
3- Type in the name of the virus, sulfnbk.exe  and specify that you search
on
your C drive
4. Click on " Find now ".
5- If the virus shows up, by all means DO NOT open it ( ugly little black
icon )
6- Either right click on your mouse, or move it to the recycle bin.
7- Open " Recycle Bin ", find the icon, and delete it permanently

If you have been infected, forward this message immediately to all names in
your address book.

DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE!!! THIS IS A VIRUS HOAX. Don - you should check out
your facts before you post erroneous information such as this. This file is
present on all computers, and has something to do with graphics. Do not
delete this file. It is NOT a virus.

The information in this article applies to:

              a.. Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
a.. Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
              a.. Microsoft Windows 98
              a.. Microsoft Windows 95

--------------------------------------------------------------------

            SUMMARY
This article describes the Sulfnbk.exe utility and how to restore it if it is deleted.

            MORE INFORMATION
Sulfnbk.exe is a Windows utility that is used to restore long file names. This utility is not required to run Windows, but it is necessary if you need to restore long files names if they become damaged or corrupted.

If this utility is removed, you can restore it by following the steps in the appropriate section of this article.

            Windows Millennium Edition (Me)
To extract files in Windows Me, use the System Configuration utility:
1.. Click Start , and then click Run .

2.. Type msconfig , and then press ENTER.

3.. Click Extract Files . The Extract one file from installation disk dialog box is displayed.

4.. In the Specify the system file you would like to restore box, type drive :\windows\command\sulfnbk.exe (where drive is the drive on which the Windows folder is installed, usually drive C), and then click Start . The Extract File dialog box is displayed.

5.. Click Browse , and then browse to the location of the Windows installation files. If the installation files were copied to the hard disk, this location is C:\Windows\Options\Install by default. You can also insert the Windows Me installation CD-ROM in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then browse to that location

6.. Click OK , and then follow the instructions.

Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition
To extract files in Windows 98 or Windows 98 Second Edition, use the System File Checker tool:
1.. Click Start , and then click Run .

2.. Type sfc , and then press ENTER.

3.. Click Extract one file from installation disk .

4.. In the Specify the system file you would like to restore box, type drive :\windows\command\sulfnbk.exe (where drive is the drive on which the Windows folder is installed, usually drive C), and then click Start . The Extract File dialog box is displayed.

5.. Next to the Restore from box, click Browse , and then browse to the location of the Windows installation files. If the installation files were copied to the hard disk, this location is C:\Windows\Options\Cabs by default. You can also insert the Windows installation CD-ROM in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive and browse to that location.

6.. Click OK , and then follow the instructions.

            Windows 95
To extract files in Windows 95, use the extract command. You can also use the extract command to extract files from Windows 98 or Windows Me if necessary.

1.. Click Start , point to Find or Search , and then click Files or Folders .

2.. In the Look in box, click drive C. Click to select the Include subfolders check box.

3.. In the Named or Search for box, type precopy1 .

4.. Click Find Now or Search Now . If the Precopy1 file does not exist on the hard disk, insert the Windows installation CD-ROM and repeat the search on the CD-ROM drive.

5.. When you find the Precopy1 file, note the location of the file (for example, C:\Windows\Options\Cabs). This is your source path.

6.. Click Start , and then click Run .

7.. The general form of the extract command is:

                extract source path \precopy1.cab sulfnbk.exe /L c:\windows\command
For example, if the source path is C:\Windows\Options\Cabs, the extract command is
                extract drive :\windows\options\cabs\precopy1.cab sulfnbk.exe /L drive :\windows\command
where drive is the drive on which Windows is installed (typically drive C).

Type the following command, making the appropriate substitutions as previously noted:
                extract source path \precopy1.cab sulfnbk.exe /L c:\windows\command
              8.. Click OK .

I'm involved in a local car show, May 18th and 19th. The 18th is
a "rod and custom" show, the 19th is the "concours de elegance". We are in
need of a good 300 letter car showing as I'm sure the typical Chevy/Ford
types will be in attendance. Anyone interested call or e:mail me. The price
for the rod show is $25 (this includes 2 tickets for the concours show and a
"t" shirt) and the concours show is $40. John

I  just received the latest copy (May 2002) of Mopar Collector's Guide and found a short article by Larry on page 20 with photos of his latest efforts.

As usual Larry has done an outstanding and colorful job of telling the story of how he has rescued this unique piece of history.  I'm not a fan of this publication at all, but his efforts ad a bit of class to it.

Subject: Thanks Re: My Condition

I'm receiving numerous emails and snail mails from y'all regarding my broken
leg and my reappearance on the 300 listserver.

I appreciate your concern, humor, love and prayers.

My leg broke because I have had a bone disease (Paget's) for 15 years.  The
lupus John Lazenby mentioned is coincidental and a small factor.  My upper
leg (femur bone) broke just by catching an area rug while going for the
phone.  It is that far diseased (okay, RUSTY!).  I then fell because I knew
I had broken it and could not stand.

I have cancelled our RI meet reservations and will be spending a lot of time
at my desk because I am sternly grounded by my orthopedist awaiting X-ray
proof in the months to come that my bone will heal sufficiently to support
the plate, 8 screws and long bolt he placed near my hip.

Thanks again and I'll be contributing as I have in the past:  whatever I
feel somewhat qualified to add.  But don't ask me to go down to the barn and
look at something on my cars.  Its off limits for a while.

In HIS care,
Wayne
