Sure, you install an electric just about any where between the tank and
the 
engine, it's usually best to put it near the tank.The  mechanical pump
will 
suck gas right through it with no problems.Hook up the power through a 
switch wired to the run side of your key switch. It's best to have the
pump 
wired so you can use it for just starting purposes, in case the diaphragm 
should go bad in the mechanical pump, the electric pump would fill the 
crank case with gasoline.

Subject: parts needed

Hi to all,

I need the following parts for a 1960 thru 1964 convertible ( where all
the
mechanical stuff that makes the top go up and down is missing) :

1/ The two U-shaped brackets that screw on to the top of the shaft of the
convertible top pistons
2/ Pins and grommets to fasten the hydraulic pistons to bracket on floor
of
car, and to convert. top frame

All other stuff can be bought new, except for these items. Please help if
you have these - especailly item #1 .

I am restoring a 300 F and someone before me removed all side stainless as
well as the rear moldings including the gas door surround. I am sure there
will be a long list of other goodies that I will need before I finish but
