Last night I installed the MP electronic conversion kit . When removing the old distribtotor I noted that the bottom for the rotor to contract was smashed off. appears that there was play in the distributor shaft. i set intial timing at 8 BTDC , ran great when road testing(vacum advance was still not hooked up) .I then booked up the vacum advance, still ran very good but did get 1 time spark knock when litely accerating . I turned back the vacum advance 1/2 turn. Then the rain came. Test grove it for 20+ minutes this am, no more spark knock.
